I grew up surprising people.
Despite obstacles that others saw as overwhelming, I have worked to develop a flourishing career and business. Whether it was graduating with honors, singing at Carnegie Hall or building a business to make information and analytics accessible for even small organizations, people call me surprising.
Before “big data” was the hot topic, I built an approach to manipulating and cleaning data, creating actionable reports, developing systems and processes, streamlining high-level analyses and documenting it to the hilt so my clients knew what to do after I was gone. I am passionate about creating efficient processes and making information more accessible. And it doesn’t mean a thing if it doesn’t make decision making easier and my clients more profitable.
There are two terms some have labeled me with and I embrace them.
The first is “Fix-a-flat” – I can come in and fill nearly any need. My diverse career and my brain that just seems to absorb things allow me to get done whatever needs to be done. I love learning.
The second is “Yeahbut Rabbit”. This came as a tease as I say “yeah, but” when questioning. But I have grown to adore it. I am the one who will look at what you do and wonder why. I will speak when things seem off and I want to seek the best solution for success.
